         The MPC Dance Department presents it Spring Dance Concert Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5 at 8 PM on the MPC Main Stage Theatre.  This season’s show features the works of a talented group of local choreographers, MPC faculty and MPC dance students.  The show presents an eclectic variety of dance styles ranging from ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz , Flamenco, and belly dance.  
          Each semester’s concert delivers an evening of dynamic movement and a fun filled evening for everyone.  It offers MPC dance faculty and dance students the opportunity to showcase their creative work in a formal setting.  In this particular presentation, MPC students will choreograph on other students as well as creating their own solo dance works.  MPC faculty members Jacquie Boomer-Adams, Janet Butler, Jamaica Sinclair, and Alicia Di Palma will present new choreography performed by their students.  Guest choreographer Reed Scott will present two new solo works.

About the Dance Department

  
The Dance Department offers classes in a wide variety of dance forms.  There are sequences of courses in Jazz, Ballet, Modern and Tap Dance, and performing opportunities are available every semester. Ballroom Dance classes will keep you up to date on the latest social dances along with Hip Hop and Ethnic Dance Forms: Belly Dance. 

The Dance Department presents two dance performance per year; once each during the Fall and Spring Semesters.  If you are intersted in participating, please refer to the Dance Production class (Danc 20) taught by Mr. Walter White.
