About The Mathematics Department
The Math Department is located in the Physical Sciences building (next to the Library Technology Center). Math courses are taught in the Physical Sciences building, the Physical Education building, and the International Center.
Our course offerings include developmental math courses as well as all the math courses necessary to transfer to a four-year college or university. We have small class sizes so that individualized instruction is the rule rather than the exception. Students who transfer consistently report back to us that they feel they were better prepared for upper-division coursework than most of their peers who took their lower division math courses at the four-year institutions.
The Math Learning Center is located in room PS205 (upstairs in the Physical Sciences buillding). The MLC offers free drop-in tutoring for math courses and Physical Sciences courses requiring math skills. For more information and the hours of operation, visit our Math Learning Center page.
