Amy Servi - Head Coach
|
Amy ReCouper-Servi is in her second year as Head Coach of the Lobos. A Southern California native, Amy played her softball career at Colorado State University where she was an accomplished catcher and third baseman for the Rams from 1991-1996. ReCouper-Servi was recognized conference-wide and nationally for her work behind the plate. She was invited to try out for the 1994 Olympic team, but because of having to utilize her red-shirt year during the season, the Rams suffered from their program being cut and the NCAA was unable to release her to pursue this opportunity. During her time as a student athlete at Colorado State, Amy was one of the team members named in the landmark case (Roberts vs. Colorado State Board of Agriculture) where Colorado State University was tried in the U. S. Supreme Court for violating Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. 1681-1688, and was ordered to reinstate the women's fast pitch softball team at Colorado State University with all of the incidental benefits of a varsity team. The team went on to appear in the World Series in 1997.
Amy obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a double minor in marketing and economics in 1996. She went on to obtain an M.B.A. in Finance from Webster University in 2005. In 2004, Amy co-founded a software consulting firm, Zeroedin Solutions, Inc. The company is recognized by Microsoft as a worldwide technology leader and has exposed Amy to business throughout North America and Europe.
Amy is excited about this season and for the opportunity to build a nationally recognized softball program at MPC. She has high expectations of herself as well as her coaching staff and her players.
Amy is married to Joe and has a daughter Jenna who is an all-star pitcher.
