Mail Boxes, Campus and U.S. Mail

Pete Olsen is the supervisor.

Sam McCrea is the Shipping and Receiving Specialist in charge of the campus mail system.  Call Sam McCrea at 4050 for questions or service.

Normal working hours for campus U.S. mail service are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Due to MPC's limited labor resources and its unwillingness to incur liability connected with receipt, accountability and delivery of personal property, faculty and staff are asked not to have personal mail and packages sent to the campus address.  Thank you for adhering to this campus policy.

Human Resources updates faculty mail boxes each school term.  Instructors should check their assigned mail boxes regularly for important material such as class rosters, drop sheets, final grade reports, payroll cards and messages from students.

Campus inner-office mail is picked up in the mornings (selected departments also in the p.m.) and deliveries are made generally in the afternoon.

Outgoing U.S. mail leaves the campus in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, and includes all mail deposited in the outgoing mail box in the Administration Building by 3:00 pm.  In order to have postage paid by the college, official outgoing U.S. mail must have a campus return address and reflect the sender's name and department.

Outgoing bulk mail must be separated by Zip Code when submitted to Shipping and Receiving for mailing.  To facilitate this process, it is suggested that the originating department sort the mailing labels on the generating PC before printing them.

UPS, FedEx, and incoming freight are received by Shipping and Receiving.  All out-going UPS, FedEx and freight need to be brought to the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse no later than 2:00 pm to insure out-going on that day.

Administrative/Office Supplies are ordered by each division and unit, using an established account with the current office supplies contractor, Office Depot.  With such an account, orders can be placed either by telephone or directly on your desktop PC.  Each division/unit will receive the current contractual discount.  Orders will be received the next regular work day.

Furniture and Equipment need to be ordered with delivery and set-up (assembly) charges included.
