Constance Gamiere is both a Theatre Arts instructor and a counselor. In the Theatre Arts department she teaches THEA 1, Theatre Appreciation, THEA 24, Beginning Costuming, and THEA 25, Makeup. Since 1974 she has designed the costumes for over 165 drama productions for the MPC stage as well as doing costumes and makeup for movies, television and other local film, stage and video productions. So, as a costume designer and makeup artist she has designed for over 200 professional theatre productions. A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (one of the "public ivy" schools) Constance has a Bachelor's degree in English/drama and a Master's in Arts Education. Her main focus in counseling is on the Creative Arts Division at MPC (those students majoring in Art, Theatre Arts, Graphic Arts, Music, Photography) Fashion and Interior Design. She is a member of several professional organizations including the MPCTA, the NEA and the Costume Society of America. Recently in 2008, Constance was the recipient of the Allen Griffin Award for Excellence in Teaching.
