Laura Hennessey teaches English 1A. Prior to teaching at the college level, Laura taught high school English and Drama in Dover, Delaware. She completed her BA from Hofstra University (New York) in English Literature and Creative Writing with a minor in World Religion. Laura completed her MA at the University of Delaware in English Language and Literature. Past research has involved the socio-historical impact of literature and the psychology of subversive literary theory.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Laura moved to California in June 2007 to try things out on the left coast. When not teaching, Laura is a writer with a focus in long fiction. She completed her first children's book recently and is now working on her first novel.
