I'm the daytime Instructional Technology Specialist for the computer labs in the CSIS Department. My job is simple: make the labs functional and friendly. Basically I keep the computers running, install the software, and assist students. Any MPC student is welcome to use our lab for assignments, e-mail, and the like. Come on by BMC205 or BMC207. The hours are posted on the door and on the
CSIS website. Generally we're open 8:30am to 10pm Monday through Thursday. We are also open Friday from 8:30am to 2pm.
My other job is as an adjunct faculty member. Although I'm not teaching this semester, occasionally I teach an introductory CSIS course such as CSIS 1 Introduction to Computers, or CSIS 76 Networking Essentials.
My background includes a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Science Concentrate from the University of Notre Dame, and 25 years in the computer field, mostly as a database programmer. I wrote 3 commercially sold programs, including a credit comparison application sold by the Experian credit bureau to their customers.
