I wear 2 hats at MPC. During the day I run the computer labs for the CSIS Department. My job is simple: make the labs functional and friendly. Basically I keep the computers running, install the software, and assist students. Any MPC student is welcome to use our lab for assignments, e-mail, and the like. Come on by BC202 or BC208. The hours are posted on the door. Generally we're open 8:30am to 10pm Monday through Thursday, except Wednesday 3:30pm-5:30pm. We are also open Friday from 8:30am to 2pm.
My other job is as an adjunct faculty member. I'll be teaching CSIS 1, Introduction to Computers, in the spring 2009 semester.
My background includes a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Science Concentrate from the University of Notre Dame, and 25 years in the computer field, mostly as a database programmer. I wrote 3 commercially sold programs, including a credit comparison application sold by the Experian credit bureau to their customers.
