I have enjoyed working at MPC's English Center for a little under three years. Previously, I worked as a science teacher in the small town of Willits, CA. I enjoy learning about a wide variety of subjects, especially those that pertain to the outdoors: botany, geology, and ecology. Backpacking, hiking, and identifying local fauna are my favorite things to do. I have recently completed my master's of arts in the humanities; the focus of my thesis is the role of postcolonialism and magic realism in the works of Salman Rushdie and Gabriel Garcia Márquez.
