MPC partners with CSUMB in New Pathways Programs!
On May 15, 2017 Dr. Tribley (MPC) and Dr. Ochoa (CSUMB) formalized a partnership in offering several new dual admission programs at MPC/CSUMB.
Beginning in the fall of 2017 CSUMB will be enrolling students in 3 new cohort-based programs (Business Administration & Marine Science and General Education Transfer.) Each of these programs will accept a cohort of 40 students to progress through a prescribed pathway, taking courses at both MPC and CSUMB, culminating in a CSUMB degree, to be completed in 4 years, in the appropriate field of study. Students participating in this program will be guaranteed seats in all classes outlined in the pathway and will have access to housing on CSUMB's campus.
These cohort-based programs offer many benefits to students who participate. In addition to the peer support that is inherent in a cohort learning environment, scholarships, special advising, tutoring, internships and project opportunities will also be included as an integral part of this program, to further assist students in reaching their goals.
MPC and CSUMB are excited about the new opportunities they are offering to students through this unique collaboration.
