Johnson-Toney Football Camp at MPC!
Are you Ready for Some Football?
Each year the Boys & Girls Club of Monterey County runs the Johnson-Toney football camp for young athletes ages 9-14. The day camp provides a nurturing environment that promotes healthy competition through the sport of football. The camp applies the NFL Play 60 Character Camp philosophy which emphasizes teaching basic football skills, daily exercise, proper hydration and good nutrition.
The highly trained and supportive coaching staff stress the following 7 character traits: Gratefulness, Self-Control, Loyalty, Honor, Responsibility, Truthfulness and Integrity. The virtues of good character, team work and respecting others are advocated at all times. Camp runs from 10am-2:30pm with lunch provided daily. Special guest speakers share daily insights with the athletes and frequent scrimage games help players use their newly developing skills throughout the week.
