From Monday March 24th through Friday March 28th Granite Construction will be erecting the Lecture Forum Bridge from the west side of the ravine next to the International Center. Due to the large swing radius of the crane the upper parking lot A will be closed, the existing lecture forum bridge will be closed, Fishnet road between Via Lavandera and parking lot B will be closed and the International Center will be closed. Please see the attached map labeled “Spring Break Construction Map” showing the construction zones. The construction activity will be fenced off for the safety of the students, faculty, and staff. Do not cross the fenced off areas into the construction zone, and follow the path of travel provided by the contractor’s fences.
There will be no through traffic on Fishnet Road during this period Monday March 24th through Friday March 28th. Please follow the detour signs around Iris Canyon or Glenwood Circle and use parking lot C and B to access the west portion of campus; see attached map labeled “Spring Break Construction Map.”
Friday March 21st through Saturday March 29th a demolition contractor will be demolishing the Old CDC and Supportive Service (Bldg 17); see attached map labeled “Spring Break Construction Map.” Dump trucks will be running up and down Costanoan road throughout the duration of the project. Please be advised of one-way traffic with flag personnel directing traffic, causing minor delays while the trucks are being loaded with debris.
