Monterey Peninsula Engineering began their work on Parking Lot B; please see the area highlighted and labeled “Parking Lot B” on the attached map. The project will run for the duration of the summer and will be completed by August 15th, 2011. The perimeter of the construction activity has been closed off with 6 feet high cyclone construction fencing. Please do not cross into the construction zone, and follow the path of travel provided in the attached map (path of travel is highlighted in red).
Throughout the duration of the project, secured paths of travel and alternative parking will be provided. Students, Faculty and Staff utilizing the Art departments, Music, I.C., Nursing and/or the Russel Hansen Bridge are to use Lots A for alternative parking during this time. For Students, Faculty and Staff utilizing the Theater, Gym, College Center and Student Services from the west side of campus, please use Parking Lot C. For your safety and ease of access, signage will be posted near and at the construction site to show these alternative pedestrian routes and parking areas.
Please note there will be a Jazz Camp held in the Art and Music Departments starting Monday June 13th and will continue until Friday June 24th. The designated “Faculty and Staff Parking” for Lot A will be closed off for Jazz camp registration on Monday June 13th until 5:00pm. After Monday, Faculty and Staff will be able to utilize this space as needed. Please see attached map for detailed information regarding closed area, path of travel and access.
Construction hours are approximately 7:00am to 5:00pm.
