Tram services at Monterey Peninsula College will not be offered after February 26th.
Several meetings with students and staff were held during the Fall to inform riders of this service elimination. Students were also asked to complete a survey in an effort to help in developing strategies that would assist them in travelling the campus. Counselors from the Supportive Services Program were available during the priority enrollment period and provided assistance to students in scheduling classes and developing strategies to adjust to the tram service elimination. Students have offered workshops, based on their personal experiences, for other students to share tips on how to travel the campus. These workshops are offered through the Supportive Services Program 646-4070.
Additionally, students assisted in designing the placement of new benches that will serve as resting areas for disabled students in transit around the campus. These benches will be in place by February 26th at the latest.
