| About the Sociology Department |
The Sociology Department provides lower division courses which transfer to universities and colleges. It provides students with a background in sociological principles and selected social problems. The department offers a number of its courses in both the traditional classroom setting and through the Living Room Series.
The Sociology staff oversees the Social Science Research Lab. This lab provides students with the opportunity to to learn methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis in Social Sciences.
