Monterey Peninsula College Athletics 

MPC offers intercollegiate athletic teams for men and women in fourteen sports with men's and women's soccer coming in the Fall of 2008.   The seven men’s sports are football, basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, track and field and soccer. The seven women’s sports are basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis, cross country, track and field and soccer.

MPC is a member of the Coast Conference which also includes Cabrillo, Gavilan, Hartnell, Ohlone, DeAnza, Foothill, Skyline, City College Of San Francisco, Chabot, College of San Mateo, Canada, Las Positas, Mission, San Jose City, West Valley and Evergeen Valley Colleges.

SUMMER YOUTH SPORTS CAMPS - 2009

The MPC Athletic Department and the YMCA of Monterey have two full weeks of summer camps for boys and girls ages 8 to 14.  These camps are held on the MPC campus and are taught by the coaching staff of the college.  The cost of the all day, one week camps are $150 each (A $30 annual YMCA Program Membership is required for registration.)  Program Scholarships are available.  Call the YMCA at (831) 373-4167 or visiit their website at www.centralcoastymca.org, or call MPC Physical Education at (831) 646-4220 for registration information or contact chunsley@mpc.edu
