All League Awards for Lobos Baseball
Nine MPC Baseball players were awared honors for All Coast Conference 2010. 
 
1st Team All Conference:
Gabe Arcoleo- 1B
Charlie McClung- Catcher
 
2nd Team All Conference:

Jordan Queja- SS
Nick Grim- Pitcher

Lobos Finish Season with a Bang
In the final game of the year, the Lobos beat the top team in Northern California and conference Champions, Canada College.  The final score was 8-3.  Lead by sophomore Sean Bernardo (6 IP, 0 runs), sophomores Bubba Ching and Jared Roland helped keep down Canada's offense.  The Lobos offense was led by Shane Yoshiyama (3 for 5) and Roger Boulden, Clark Munroe, and Noble Enriquez each had 2 hits.
 
MPC Baseball finishes the season with a 20-15 record.
MPC Can't Hold Onto the Lead at Ohlone
MPC led 4-2 going into the 7th inning but could not hold onto the lead, giving up 2 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th, losing 6-4.  Leading hitters were Charlie McClung (2 for 4, with a 2 run HR) and Jordan Queja (3 for 5).
 
Lobos Win 4th Game in a Row
MPC hosted San Fransisco City College and won 8-6.  Starting pitcher Mario Carrillo gave up 3 runs in the 1st inning but the Lobos answered back with 7 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Carrillo got the win, pitching 7 innings and Brandon Brautovich came in for the save.  The offense was led by Gabe Arcoleo (2 for 3 with a double) and Charlie McClung (2 for 5).  The win improves the Lobos record to 19-14.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to Ohlone College, Thursday 2pm
MPC Finishes Sweep of Cabrillo College
The Lobos went on the road to take on Cabrillo College and got the win 7-1.  The win wraps up the series sweep (3-0) in conference play.  Daniel Marti was the winning pitcher, going 7 innings, striking out 6 and giving up 4 hits.  Leading hitters were Roger Boulden (2 for 4), Charlie McClung (2 for 5, with a triple), Clark Munroe (2 for 4), Shane Yoshiyama ( 2 for 4), and Gabe Arcoleo added to his State Leading HR and RBI totals with a solo homerun in the 5th inning (16 HR, 49 RBI).

Lobos Win at Home
MPC hosted Gavilan College today and got the win 6-1.  Todays win completed the series sweep (3-0) for the year.  Nick Grim picked up his 5th win of the year, going 8 innings, striking out 6 and giving up 6 hit.  On offense, Gabe Arcoleo was 2 for 4 with double, Roger Boulden was 2 for 4 with a double and homerun, and Charlie McClung was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.  The win improves the Lobos record to 17-14.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to Cabrillo College, Saturday 12noon.
Lobos Win on the Road
MPC traveled across town to take on Hartnell College.  Mario Carrillo pitched 7.2 innings, striking out 10 and giving up 2 runs.  Nick Grim came in to pitch the final 1.1 inning for the save.  The offense was led by Charlie McClung (3 for 4 with a solo HR) and Jordan Queja (3 for 4 with 2 RBI and a double).  Gabe Arcoleo and Shane Yoshiyama had two hits in the game.  The win brings the Lobos record to 16-13 on the season.

Lobos Lose in the 11th inning
MPC held a 3-2 leading going into the 9th inning.  Visiting Skyline College scored 2 runs in the 9th to go ahead 4-3.  In the bottom of the 9th inning, Philip Incaviglia hit a solo homerun to tie the game and send it into extra innings.  Skyline College got a solo homerun in the 11th and the Lobos failed to score with bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the inning.  Leading hitter was Gabe Arcoleo, going 3 for 3 with a homerun.
MPC- 3 Canada- 6
The Lobos went on the road to play the #1 team in Northern California.  The final score was MPC-3 Canada- 6.  Noble Enriquez was 2 for 4 with a solo HR.
 
 
Lobos Lose on the Road
MPC lost 9-5 at Skyline College.  Leading the game 1-0 the Lobos gave up 6 runs in the 4th inning and could not recover the lead.  Leading hitters were Charlie McClung 2 for 4 and Noble Enriquez 2 for 4.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to Canada College on Thursday.
