MPC Loses 9-5 at West Valley
The Lobos lost their 3rd consecutive game.  The offense came out and score 3 runs early but the pitching could not hold off West Valley.  Final Score 9-5.
 
Leading hitters: Philip Incaviglia (2 for 4) Shane Yoshiyama (3 for 4) and Chris Untereiner (3 for 4).
 
Next up:  host Mission College 2pm, Thursday
Lobos Lose Heartbreaker in 9th
MPC lead by one run in the top of the 9th inning, but Canada College scored 2 runs on a pop up that dropped in shallow right field to take the lead 9-8.  The Lobos lead the entire game but could not hold on to the lead.  Starting pitcher Jarred Roland pitched 5 innings, striking out 7.  Leading hitters were Philip Incaviglia (3 for 5 with 3 doubles) and Gabe Arcoleo (2 for 4 with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI).
 
The loss drops the Lobos to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in conference.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to West Valley College, Tues, 2pm
Lobos Lose 3-2
MPC could not come up with the big hit with runners on, losing 3-2 against Hartnell College.  Mario Carrillo pitched 6 solid innings giving up 3 runs and striking out 5.  Roger Boulden was 2 for 3 on the day.  The loss drops the Lobos to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in conference.
 
Next up:  MPC hosts Canada College, Sat. 12noon.
Lobos Score 3 in Bottom of 9th for Come Back Win!
Trailing 6-8 to Skyline College in the bottom of the 9th, the Lobos scored 3 times for the walk off win.  The 9th inning was lead off by a walk to Roger Boulden and Gabe Arcoleo, and Charlie McClung then doubled in Boulden.  With runners at 2nd and 3rd, back to back wild pitches score both runners for the win.
 
Nick Grim started the game going 7 innings, striking out 7 and giving up 2 earned runs.  Quality relief from Danny Marti and Daniel Odell (2-0) kept the game in check.  The offense was led by Charlie McClung (3 for 5) and Gabe Arcoleo's 2 run homerun.
 
Currently the Lobos are 9-3 overall and 3-1 in conference.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to Hartnell College, Thurs @ 2pm.
Lobos Outscore Gavilan College
MPC defeated Gavilan College 14-10.  With the win, the Lobos improve their record to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in conference.  Jared Roland pitched 4 scoreless innings before giving up 3 in the 5th to get the win (2-0, 1 save).  The offensive charge was led by Ethan Hopkins (3 for 4), with Gabe Arcoleo, Philip Incaviglia, Charlie McClung, and Roger Boulden each getting 2 hits.
 
Next up:  Skyline College @ MPC, Tuesday 2pm.
Carrillo Dominates on the Mound
Mario Carrillo pitched 7 scoreless innings, striking out 5, and giving up 1 un-earned run in the 8th to lead MPC to their first conference victory of the season (7-3 overall, 1-1 Conference).  Offensively for the Lobos, Charlie McClung continues to swing a hot bat going 3 for 4 on the day.  Also contributing 2 hits in the game were Jake Corn and Ethan Hopkins.

MPC Drops League Opener
Trailing 7-0 after the 1st inning, the Lobos battled back to take the lead 7-8.  MPC couldn't hold onto the lead and finished losing the game 16-9.  Offensively, MPC knock out 16 hits.  Leading the charge was Jake Corn (4 for 5 with 3 doubles), Charlie McClung (3 for 5), Philip Incaviglia and Gabe Arcoleo both had 2 hits.
 
Next up:  MPC @ Cabrillo College, Thurs March 4th 2pm
MPC Wins On The Road
MPC won their 6th game of the year (6-2) going on the road to Contra Costa College.  The game was originally set for Friday but was moved up a day early for weather concerns. 
 
Brandon Brautovich got his first win of the year going 5 strong innings and striking out 5.  Jared Roland pitched the final 4 innings earning the save.  The offensive charge was again led by Philip Incavilia, going 3 for 5 with a 2 run double.  Jordan Queja was 3 for 4 and Ethan Hopkins and Charlie McClung both got 2 hits on the day.
 
Next up:  LEAGUE OPENER, Santa Rosa @ MPC, Mar. 2nd @ 2pm

Lobos Win 9-2
MPC defeated visiting Mission College today.  The final score was 9-2.  Starting for MPC was freshman Daniel Odell and relieved by Caio Errico, Bubba Ching, and Casey Walker.  Philip Incaviglia continued his hot streak with two more hits on the day and Danny Marti supplied a big 3 run homerun.  The Lobos record currently stands at 5-2.
 
Next up:  MPC travels to Contra Costa College 2pm Feb. 26th.
