Lobos Win Series with Dramatic 10th Inning Walk Off
With today's win, MPC takes the series over Skyline College (2 out of 3).  Starting pitcher Richard Guerrero pitched a shut out into the 10th inning before giving up the only run of the game at that point to make the score 1-0.  Rob Kovach came in relief and got out of the inning.  In the bottom of the 10th, Kyle Graf lead off the inning with a single and then stole second base.  Evan Thoning singled to left field to score Graf and tie the game.  Thoning stole second bases as well, but the Lobos were not able to advance him on the next two batters.  With two out, Max Price drove a double down the left field line to score Thoning for the walk off win.

Michael Romiza took the loss and Curtis Cantaloube pitched 3 scoreless innings on the back end of the game.  Leading hitters were Geoff MacDonald (3 for 5, 2 run homerun), Kyle Graff (2 for 5, 3 run homerun).
 
 
Kovach Pitches Complete Game in Loss
MPC lost to Ohlone College today, 4-2.  Rob Kovach pitched a complete game, striking out 7 and giving up 3 earned runs.  Leading hitters were Dylan Candaele (2 for 4, 2 doubles), and Ethan Hopkins (2 for 4).
Lobos Win in San Francisco
MPC defeated City College of San Francisco today by the score of 7-6.  Winning pitcher was Chase Moreland and Michael Romiza picked up the save.  Leading hitters were Ethan Hopkins (3 for 5), Peter Lecce (2 for 5, 3 RBI), Dylan Candaele (2 for 5), Kyle Graf (2 for 4), and Max Price (2 for 4).

Lobos Complete Sweep of DeAnza
MPC completed the season's 3 game sweep of DeAnza College today, winning by the score of 3-1.
 
Chase Moreland pitched the complete game, striking out 8 and giving up 5 hits.  Leading hitters were Ethan Hopkins (3 for 4), Dylan Candaele (2 for 4), Kyle Graf (2 for 4), and Max Price (3 for 4). 
 
Trailing 1-0 in the 7th inning, Peter Lecce got a two out hit to score Ethan Hopkins to tie the game.  In the 8th inning, Geoff MacDonald delivered a two out double to score Dylan Candaele to take the lead.

Skyline- 9, MPC- 6
MPC went on the road to Skyline College and lost 9-6.  Peter Lecce had a 2 run homerun and Richard Guerrero was 2 for 4.
Lobos Drop Game to San Mateo College
The Lobos could only come up with 4 hits against San Mateo.  The final score was 14-2.  Evan Thoning had a solo homerun and Kyle Graf was 2 for 4.
MPC Defeats Ohlone College 7-5
MPC took down 1st place Ohlone College by the score of 7-5.  The Lobos got out to a fast lead, scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st.  Starting pitcher Michael Romiza got the win (5 innngs, 4 runs), and was relieved by Kevin Salvas (3 innnigs, 0 earned runs, 3 strikeouts), and Garrett Woodward picked up the save in the 9th.

Lobos Shut Out Again
MPC got shut out for the the second game in a row, losing 3-0 to Hartnell College.  While the Lobos out hit there opponent (10-5), they failed to score.  Leading hitters were Max Price 3 for 3, Tyler Soto 2 for 4, and Kyle Graf 2 for 4.
 
 
Lobos Shut Out on the Road
MPC lost 4-0 at Chabot College.  Dylan Candaele and Tyler Soto had two hits for the day.  Starting pitcher Will McCabe pitched 7 strong innings, giving up 2 earned runs.
