1.        Everyone is asked to assist in making the campus a safe place by being alert to suspicious situations and by reporting them as outlined below.

DO NOT TAKE ANY UNNECESSARY CHANCES

2.        If you are the victim or are aware of any on-campus violation of the law such as assault, robbery, theft, overt sexual behavior, etc., notify College Security as soon as possible and supply them with the following information:

a.   Nature of incident.

b.   Campus location of incident.

c.   Description of person(s) involved.

d.   Description of property involved.

3.        If you witness an on-campus violation of the law, immediately notify College Security and give them the information outlined in number 2 above.  There are several Courtesy Phones on campus that can be used to call Security.  Pay phones can be used to dial 9-1-1 without cost.

4.        Assist College Security Officers when they arrive by supplying them with all additional information and ask others to do the same.

5.        College Security Officers will conduct the required campus questioning and search and they will evacuate areas, if necessary.  Follow their instructions.

6.        Everyone is asked to report to a departmental office the existence of anyone loitering or soliciting on campus. These people may be asked by Security to leave if they do not have permission or a proper reason for being on campus. Monterey Police will be called if the subjects refuse to leave when asked.
