Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum IGETC
The IGETC is a series or courses that community college students can use to satisfy lower division general education requirements at any CSU or UC campus. Courses much be completed for all areas with a grade of "C" or better. It should be noted that completion of the IGETC is neither a requirement for transfer to CSU or UC nor is it the only way to fulfill lower division general education requirements prior to transfer. The IGETC will probably be most useful for students who want to keep their options oen before making a final decision about transferring to a particular UC or CSU campus. Counslors are available to help students decide which pattern to follow.
IGETC Certification
Once all the requirements have been completed, the transferring student should request that a certificate of the IGETC be sent, with an official transcript, to the Univeristy of California or California State University.

Area 2 - CSU Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning
Area 3 - CSU Arts and Humanities
Area 4 - CSU Social and Behavioral Sciences
