The MPC Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System (LC System) to organize its collections.  Books about English Language are shelved in the PE, PN, PR, and PS sections.  
Below are the subclasses:
PE  1 - 3729  English Language
PN  1 - 6790  Literature (General) 
PR  1 - 9680  English Literature
PS  1 - 3576  American Literature
