Child Development Center
Completed in fall 2007, this three-building 9,900 sq. ft. complex provides a child care facility for the campus and community. One of the new buildings is devoted to toddlers and the other to pre-school children, while the third building houses support services. The Center also offers adult Child Development Program courses in a smart classroom that is supplemented by two observation rooms. These facilities make up an academic laboratory that provides critical practicum experience for early-education students.
The facility also provides a sick bay for ill children, a teacher preparation room and a commercial kitchen. More than 80 percent of MPC students with children rely on the center for child care in order to attend classes.
