      PROJECTS IN PROCESS

      Old Library Renovation  (6)

      • Includes renovation of the former Library building and provides space for campus administration, along with improved access for the disabled.
      • Construction began December 2007 and is anticipated to be completed in January 2009.

      Infrastructure

      • Engineering efforts are under way for a campus-wide rebuilding of site utilities including gas, electricity, water, sewer and storm drains, and data/telephone service.
      • Engineering design will be used to identify specifications, budgets, timelines and contracts for future utility work to be performed.

     

    FUTURE PROJECTS

    Math/Science Project 

      • New math classrooms, two math computer labs, a multimedia lab, faculty and staff offices, conference room, testing area, storage and other teaching support space.
      • Renovation of Life Sciences and Physical Sciences buildings will include lab space expansion for biology, physics and chemistry; Lecture Forum renovation; modernization of space for other academic programs; and new utility infrastructure and distribution systems.
      • The Final Project Proposal was submitted to the Chancellor’s Office on May 31, 2005.

    Music/Theater Performing Arts Center 

      • The new facility will include: 300-seat recital hall performance space, a rehearsal room, practice rooms, music labs, offices and support space.
      • Renovation of the Theater facility will provide: new building systems, fire and life safety equipment, new floors, wall and ceiling finishes, a new stage floor, new lighting system, rigging equipment and orchestra pit lift.
      • The Initial Project Proposal was submitted to the Chancellor’s Office on May 31, 2005.
