Music/Theater Buildings Project
This project will modernize all 27,724 gross square feet of the existing theater building on campus, including renovation of 14,774 assignable square feet. The existing outdated and deteriorating music buildings will be demolished and replaced by a new facility providing 8,851 assignable square feet of instructional space for the music program that will be constructed as part of this project. The new music facility will be constructed adjacent to the existing theater. With the planned connections between the two facilities, a Center for the Performing Arts will be created.
The Final Project Proposal was submitted in July 2008 to the state Chancellor’s Office for 50% funding consideration.
