Choosing a campus that fits best involves many factors – campus size, geographic location, cost, social environment, and most importantly, programs and majors offered. Although many students seek out “The Best” college for their particular major, the best college is the one that suits you best and not necessarily the one listed or selected in a ranking or guide book. Use the Eureka system, available at the MPC Library and Career/Transfer Resource Center, to help you learn more about specific institutions. We encourage you to read college catalogs, visit campuses, especially during “open house” or tour days, interview with representatives, faculty, staff and current students all in order to make the most informed decision. Many colleges may connect you to a current student or alumni by phone or e-mail. Also, do not forget to speak with your instructors. Use the many resources (catalogs, files, guidebooks) at the Career/Transfer Resource Center.
