This site is designed to help you plan for transfer to a four year university. It is not intended to take the place of a counseling appointment. All MPC counselors can help you plan your transfer from MPC to the college or university of your choice. It is advisable to meet with a counselor to plan the course work necessary to transfer. You may call the Counseling Office at (831) 646-4020.

ASSISTprovides articulation, program and majors information for transfer from community colleges to any UC or CSU Reps Visits - Transfer CalendarRepresentatives from many four-year institutions visit MPC on a regular basis. See the Transfer Center Events Calendar for more information and contact the Career & Transfer Resource Center (831)645.1336 to make an appointment. UC IGETC Transfer PatternThis is the general education transfer pattern to satisfy lower division general education requirements at any CSU or UC campus. Students should have the IGETC certified prior to transfer. IGETC may not pertain to certain majors, check with a counselor. CSU General Education Transfer PatternCSU-GE is the list of courses required to be eligible as an upper division transfer student (60 or more units) at the time of entrance. STudents should have the GE certified by a counselor prior to transfer. CSU Transfer PlannerStudents can plan to meet general education requirements for the CSU. You need to create an account (at secure.csumentor.edu); use your unofficial transcripts to enter the correct course title, number of units, and date taken; and then receive the CSU general education transfer evaluation. Western Undergraduate ExchangeSAVE on TUITION for out-of-state schools: The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Students who are residents of WICHE states may enroll at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state at a reduced tuition rate. WICHE states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.
Illinois Transfertransfer is a portal for transfer assistance in the state of Illinois for students seeking transfer between Illinois higher education institutions. Indiana College & Universitiesprovides alpha list of all higher education in Indiana including lists of majors offered, costs, scholarships and campus description. Art Colleges in CaliforniaThis list may include colleges that are NOT regionally accredited. Please check with a counselor before enrolling. Career Technical Education (CTE)Resources for students, faculty, employers or anyone interested in learning more about CTE at MPC or in California and nationally. California's official statewide repository of transfer information for the California State University and University of California systems. Best place to explore major preparation for transfer. College CostsThis interactive shows the tuition and required fees at more than 3,300 colleges and universities. Tuition and fees for both state and out-of-state residents are listed. The total for in-state tuition, fees, room, and board is also shown for institutions providing those figures The Honors Transfer Council of CaliforniaHTCC includes over fifty community colleges throughout California. Each college is represented by its honors/scholars' program director/faculty member and a designated honors/scholars' counselor. The HTCC negotiates special transfer agreements linking community college honors/scholars' programs to specific universities, large or small, public or private. Students completing our programs have transfer consideration at the partner-campus, e.g., guaranteed or priority acceptance, special scholarships, housing priority, and other academic and social benefits such as library privileges even before transfer. You may find the "best" college may be the one that can make YOUR education the best, not necessarily the one rated highest on a particular list. General & Undergraduate RankingsThis site contains multiple articles about various ratings/rankings --activists, African-American, mobility friendly, character building, etc. Some are becoming dated. Top 500 Universities in the WorldARWU uses six objective indicators to rank world universities, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, number of highly cited researchers selected by Thomson Scientific, number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science, number of articles indexed in Science Citation Index - Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index, and per capita performance with respect to the size of an institution. More than 1000 universities are actually ranked by ARWU every year and the best 500 are published on the web.
