Requirements to Become a Tutor:
- You must be an MPC student enrolled in at least 6 units
- You must have a Social Security Number (or have a receipt showing you have applied for a number)
- You must be available to tutor a minimum of 2 hours per week
- You must have instructor approval
Tutor applications are available on-line or from the office.
Students should have an "A' in each subject that they want to tutor; however, students may be approved to tutor with a "B."
New tutors are required to attend tutor orientation and tutor training. These are two separate 2-hour sessions which will be scheduled based on tutor availability. Tutors must have completed tutor orientation before they are scheduled with students.
The current pay for tutors is $9.00-$9.50 per hour. Students are paid on the 10th of each month. Paychecks may be picked up in the Job Center.
