The English Placement Test (EPT) is divided into two parts--a reading comprehension test and a written essay. A topic will be provided for the essay. Placement in writing classes will be based on the written essay. The reading proficiency is necessary for entry into transfer English courses and MPC graduation. Allow two hours for the EPT test.
ASSESSMENT SESSION: Stop by HU 207, the Assessment Center, or call 831-646-4027 or email Linda Ransom (lransom@mpc.edu) to make an appointment for testing.
*Please note:
- Test begins promptly at indicated time.

If English is not your native language, you are strongly advised to take one of the English As A Second Language Tests.
