Supportive Services & Instruction

. . . offers academic counseling, specialized instruction and classroom accommodations to students with a verified disability. Based on a student’s academically related functional limitations, supports are provided to promote access to campus programs and activities.

Eligibility is based on verified disability documentation. Examples of disabilities include:

  • learning disability
  • physical disability
  • visual disability
  • psychological disability
  • communication disability (speech, hearing, language)
  • acquired brain impairment
  • developmental disability
  • other medical conditions

 Eligibility Criteria

 A student must: 

  • have a verified disability.
  • be able to negotiate the campus.
  • be able to demonstrate the ability to benefit from instruction.

Application for Services

A person seeking assistance from the Supportive Services & Instruction program must:

  • complete an Application for Services at the Supportive Services & Instruction office.
  • submit documents verifying a disability or arrange for testing through the Supportive Services & Instruction office.
  • complete a Student Education Plan with a counselor.
