
What is TRiO Student Support Services?
Student Support Services (SSS), formerly known as College Readiness on the Monterey Peninsula College campus, is a federally-funded grant program designed to assist eligible students to develop academic skills necessary to succeed in college; increase retention and graduation rates; and increase transfer rates of eligible students from 2-year to 4-year institutions. Students must transfer to a four-year institution and graduate with an associates's degree within six semesters or less (eight semesters or less beginning Fall 2010).

The program has been recognized statewide for offering comprehensive study skills instruction in math, science, and communication combined with college orientation, career counseling, and personal development.
