Celebrating 200 Years of Frankenstein Exhibit
The library is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein, the monster, and the genre defining author Mary Shelley. During October, ideas of human mortality and life after death re-emerge in the public eye, and Shelley’s Frankenstein is the perfect reflection of that curiosity. The display, located on the library's main floor, will feature her novel, biographies of both her and other writers that helped influence her as well as reflections on monsters in mainstream culture. We hope you enjoy this celebration of Mary Shelley and the monster that greatly influenced the horror and science fiction genres as a whole.
