Celebrating African American History Month Exhibit
February is African American History Month. In collaboration with the Monterey Peninsula College’s Social Science Division, Student Equity and Achievement Program, Library, and African American Faculty and Staff, exhibit spaces on the main floor and third floor of the library showcases the culture and experiences of African Americans both in the spotlight and at MPC. Explore all the library’s exhibit spaces to see images of MPC students and staff, enjoy African artifacts, explore African American history, and view highlighted books from the library’s collection. Images feature campus programs and events that celebrate and honor African American culture such as the annual Rites of Passage Ceremony recognizing graduating and transferring African American students. On display through the month of February.
