International Year of the Periodic Table Exhibit
Date: May 1 - 31, 2019
Location: LTC Main Floor Lobby Case Display & 3rd Floor Exhibit
During 2019, we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the periodic table! The design of the periodic table is credited to Dmitri Mendeleev, who arranged elements based on a repeating pattern in their properties. This organization helps chemists (and students!) learn more about the elements than just what is printed in the boxes. This exhibit highlights not only the periodic table itself, but also some of its 118 elements and their compounds. The exhibit was created by MPC faculty, staff, and students and supported by STEM CEL.
Opening Ceremony: May 1st, 1pm - 2pm, in Carolyn Page Garden (in front of LTC Building).
