Welcome to MPC! I'm Dr. Anita Johnson, and I would love to talk to you about writing, reading, literature, research, and almost anything about the wonder of words.
I have been teaching at MPC since 2004, and I teach a range of composition courses and courses in American Literature, World Literature, British Literature, Introduction to Literature, Literature By and About Women, Introduction to Great Books, and the Bible as Literature.
I spent many happy hours at the colleges/universities listed below:
B.A., St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN
M.A., English, Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, CA
Ph.D., English, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
For Fall 2019, I'll be teaching English 1A: Composition, English 2: Argumentative Writing and Critical Thinking, English 5: Introduction to Great Books, and English 11/GWOS 11: Literature by and about Women. Please contact me if you have any questions about the courses for Fall 2019.
Textbook information for the courses is available through the MPC Bookstore and the Book link on WebReg.
In Fall 2019 I will also be working closely with the MPC Great Books Program as the Program Coordinator, so feel free to contact me with any questions about the MPC Great Books Program or Club activities.
Come and find me in my office in the Humanities/Supportive Services Building, Office #105, if you have any questions or email me at email@example.com.
