Welcome to MPC! I'm Dr. Anita Johnson, and I would love to talk to you about writing, reading, literature, research, and almost anything about the wonder of words.
I have been teaching at MPC since 2004, and I teach a range of composition courses and courses in American Literature, World Literature, British Literature, Introduction to Literature, Literature By and About Women, Introduction to Great Books, and the Bible as Literature.
I spent many happy hours at the colleges/universities listed below:
B.A., St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN
M.A., English, Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, CA
Ph.D., English, University of Washington, Seattle, WA
For Fall 2020, I'll be teaching English 1B: Introduction to Literature and English 5: Introduction to Great Books. Please contact me if you have any questions about the courses for Fall 2020.
Textbook information for the courses is available through the MPC Bookstore and the Book link on WebReg.
In Fall 2020 I will also be working closely with the MPC Great Books Program as the Program Coordinator, so feel free to contact me with any questions about the MPC Great Books Program or Club activities.
This year I am also serving as the Humanities Division Chair, working with all the faculty and departments in the Humanities Division.
Come and find me in the Humanities Division office in the Humanities/Supportive Services Building, Office #111A, if you have any questions or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
