ENROLLMENT PROCESS:

There is no requirement to officially enroll in any of the MEDA programs prior to starting courses and there are no prerequisites. Many courses are open to non-majors. Each course is free-standing to allow for flexible and part-time scheduling. However, students pursuing a certificate or degree are strongly encouraged to follow the suggested order of courses below for logical progression from fundamental instruction to advanced courses as indicated through applicable course advisories and requisites.

NOTE: Monterey campus offerings are designed for FALL starters and Marina Education Center offerings are designed for SPRING starters. However, students may take courses at both sites interchangeably.

*NOTE: Although there is no formal mechanism for MA program entry, students pursuing a Certificate of Achievement or A.S. in Medical Assisting must make individual intake interview appointments with the program director (Monika Bell) within the first 4 weeks of MEDA 120 (sign-ups announced during class).
