Counselors are available to assist students with education planning, coursework evaluation, and examine various academic and career requirements.  Personal counseling and guidance is also available including discussing concerns about current courses and available community and campus resources during these trying times.

Admissions & Records is focused on helping students apply to the college, register for classes, petition for graduation, and so much more! Students are welcome to stop by for personal assistance and support during our normal business hours.

ASSESSMENT& PLACEMENT SERVICES

Assessment and placement is the process Monterey Peninsula College uses to determine the appropriate English, Math, and English as Second Language (ENSL) level for a student to start in their first year of college.  This process, one of the critical steps to help students start on a successful pathway, has been established to enable all students to be successful by taking the right level of courses. In addition, the process allows the faculty to provide instruction at an appropriate level with the knowledge that students will be reasonably prepared.

CAREER & TRANSFER ASSISTANCE

 The Career & Transfer Resource Center offers career and transfer resources, workshops, guidance and referrals. Services include computer accessibility for exploring online colleges and universities for transfer, searching majors and occupations using EUREKA (computerized software) incorporating career assessment, accessing directories and career specific books and assisting with college applications, Printing and phone services are available to use for career or transfer purposes.  

STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES

Student Health Services fosters health and well-being delivered in a culturally competent and compassionate manner. MPC works in collaboration with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula which provides an on-site Registered Nurse. Staff also includes a Health Specialist, Licensed Therapists, Psych Associates, Social Work students from Cal State Monterey Bay and a Medical Director - all providing a safe and confidential environment for our students.

STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES

Student Financial Services at Monterey Peninsula College is committed to assisting students and their families to bridge the gap between their personal resources and the cost of attending college. We are ready to educate students, families and the community on understanding the steps involved in receiving financial assistance.

TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS

A student with a disability may be authorized for test accommodations. Students may receive additional testing time. The ARC Testing Center at MPC provides a distraction-reduced environment for test administration at both Monterey and Marina campuses.

VETERANS SERVICES

MPC is ready to assist you as you make the transition from military life back to education and beyond. We can assist eligible military veterans, active duty, national guardsmen, reservists, and dependents of service disabled or deceased veterans with the process of submitting Veterans Affairs Education Benefits claims.
