About the instructor: Borja Dorsch (Spanish Films & Chats) was born in Spain. He studied English in Oviedo, Glasgow, and Leeds. Then he studied translation and interpretation in Soria, Spain and Paris. He then moved to the United States and completed additional degrees in Spanish language and education. Borja lived in El Barrio, Manhattan, where English/Spanish code switching and the rich Nuyorican culture fascinated him. He taught at universities in the Bronx and Harlem. Since he arrived in Monterey four years ago, he has created the new program for Spanish Speakers at Monterey Peninsula College.




Modern Retirement Planning (ENRI 19-19 & 19-20)

Modern Retirement Planning (MRP) is a comprehensive workshop overview of the latest concepts and concerns for structuring a successful retirement plan. The information is presented in an unbiased, educational environment; no specific products or services will be discussed at this class, as MRP is designed only to provide important financial information. The goal of this 6-hour class is to familiarize participants with the concepts and terminology associated with the retirement planning process. The course will equip you with a better understanding of the building blocks of retirement planning as well as the options and strategies available to retire successfully.

This course is specifically designed for individuals who are approaching retirement or are already in retirement. Subjects include setting goals, identifying your nest egg sources, the effect of taxes and inflation on your savings, estate planning, types of investments, and many other retirement strategies. About the instructors:
 Trevin and Bart are affiliated educators with the non-profit organization, the Society For Financial Awareness (SOFA). They spend a great amount of their time educating the public, as well as their clients, on the topic of retirement planning, and know it to be one of the greatest needs within our society today! In addition to their multiple college degrees in Finance and Criminology, Trevin also holds a certification as a Retirement Income Certified Professional from The American College. As licensed securities and insurance professionals, they serve as partners of Central Coast Financial Management in Monterey.
