Monterey Peninsula College maintains a year-round International Student Office that assists with academic and personal counseling, transfer placement, and immigration issues. 

The presence of international students on our campus and in our community increases our understanding and respect for the many cultures of our world. MPC recognizes the importance of preparing students to take their place in an increasingly global community. International students gain a deeper understanding of American life by living in the U.S. and studying at MPC.

The International Students Office provides the following services:

  • Admission for qualified overseas students
  • Interpretation of immigration regulations
  • Academic advising
  • Nonnative English speakers are required to have a TOEFL score of minimum 45, or IELTS score of 5. However, students can sign up for English as a Second Language at MIIS (Middlebury Institute of International Studies). Completion of Level 3 at MIIS can be used in lieu of TOEFL or IELTS scores.
