SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITES

Frequently check the Financial Aid portion of the MPC web site as new scholarships are posted frequently.
The annual scholarship booklet is usually posted in early February and due by mid-March. There are many scholarships for transfer students, so even though you may be at your NEW campus by the following September, be sure to apply locally in March.

FinAid.org: Established in the fall of 1994 as a public service; comprehensive annotated collection of information about student financial aid on the web—includes loans, grants, other types of resources and how to apply, good general info on using the net for searches with links to scholarship specific sites Also has sites for unusual (left-handed, Klingon, skateboards) and prestigious (lucrative, well-known, competitive) scholarships.

FASTWEB: a free database (watch out for request to purchase on every page!) that will provide list of scholarships based on criteria you enter.

School Soup: numerous programs with over $32 billion in available sholarships, loans also available. Site also includes information on specific careers (plus a career aptitude test), a college search engine for colleges across the US, and information on available online degree programs. The bookstore providese a comparison for various online textbook providers (i.e. Amazon, Abebooks, etc.) and lists results in order by lowest price.

College Board's Scholarship Search:
  locate scholarships, internships, grants, and loans that match your education level, talents, and background. Complete the brief questionnaire and Scholarship Search will find potential opportunities from our database of more than 2,300 sources of college funding, totaling nearly $3 BILLION.

Mach25: database contains over 600,000 awards totaling over $1.6 billion. Keyword Search gives you a quick way to narrow down to a particular scholarship or group of scholarships –tends to get BIG numbers, with no filters for your criteria.

Specific Majors or Courses of Study: On this page you'll find a several scholarship databases as well as individual scholarships and awards, which assist students pursuing specific majors or courses of study.
