Biography
I joined Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) in 2009, where I established the foundation of the Networking and Security Department. Over time, and with the valuable collaboration of John Olsen—an MPC Networking and Security alumnus and the current Department Chair—we have expanded our programs to deliver high-quality, career-focused education that equips students with the skills needed to secure well-paying positions both locally and in the Bay Area.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from India and a Master of Science in Computer Systems Management (Information Assurance) from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). I have also earned multiple professional certifications in cybersecurity and networking, including CISSP, CCSA-NG, MCSE-NT, MCP 2000, CCNA, and CCNP.
I firmly believe that all instructors at MPC are dedicated to providing outstanding education. However, I view successful employment in one’s field of study as the ultimate validation of the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom. With that in mind, I actively collaborate with industry partners to create pathways that help our students transition into rewarding IT careers. It is deeply gratifying to see so many of our Networking and Security graduates thriving in high-paying roles—both locally and with leading companies throughout the Bay Area.
