
Biography
Local certified sommelier Erin Herendeen-Hill, C.S. has provided the food and beverage community on the Central Coast with all things wine for over twenty-five years.
In addition to teaching Wine Service classes, Hospitality Management classes, she has supported numerous Monterey County Hospitality Association’s ‘Supervisor Workshops’ with Monterey Peninsula College. Erin is a local sales leader supporting local wineries build their brands and develop strong relationships with key account local wholesale businesses. Current local winery partners include ‘San Francisco Chronicle’s Winemaker of The Year' Ian Brand, (Paysan, La Marea and I. Brand & Family Winery), and Kobza Wines.
Erin mentors and supports her business partnerships through creative consulting, wine training, and wine development programs with key leaders in the food and beverage community. She currently consults with the Monterey Beach Hotel by creating and curating their wine program alongside winemaker Ian Brand.
Erin has a history of guest service team trainings and world class hospitality thanks to her previous leadership positions with The Pebble Beach Company, Meadowood Napa Valley, Disneyland, Sierra Nevada Brewery and Butte Creek Country Club. Other small family winery support has included Domaine Messier, Corral Wine Co., and Dorcich Family Vineyards. She has also partnered with the highly respected import/ domestic wine distributor(s) Young’s Market Company - The Estates Group, Grand Place Selections and Grand Cru Selections.
Erin’s event management experience is vast and includes; Big Sur Food and Wine Festival, Big Sur Fashion Show, Gourmet Fest, Pebble Beach Food and Wine, Concours d’Elegance, The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, The U.S. Open, The Napa Valley Wine Auction, The Carmel International Film Festival, multiple Outstanding In The Field collaborations & numerous wine dining experiences with her local accounts. Erin has also supported freelance wine writing for the Monterey Herald.
When Erin isn’t supporting her students, her wine related passions and her business partnerships, she loves to spend quality time with her husband, and their two boys upon the Monterey Peninsula.
