Biography
Michael Villagrana is the Head Coach of Women’s Basketball and a Kinesiology faculty member of the college. Coach Mike is a local product who played four years of varsity basketball at Marina High School. He was a team captain all four years and played under Coach Carson Padon. After high school, Coach Mike attended California State University, Monterey Bay. At CSUMB, he was a Pay It Forward Scholar and received his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Wellness. He later attended Concordia University, Irvine and received his Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. He is passionate about working in the community and has been active in working for the local school district (MPUSD) as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County. Coach resides in Marina with his wife (Jasmine) and three daughters (Giselle, Madison & Malina).
