Join us for "Join the Pack" Day on May 8, 2026 from 9 AM - 2 PM! First-time college students will have the opportunity to register for classes, meet with counselors and financial aid representatives, complete orientation, and explore student support services, campus clubs, and helpful resources.

Access Resource Center

The Access Resource Center (ARC) offers academic counseling, specialized instruction and classroom accommodations to students with a verified disability. Based on a student’s academically related functional limitations, supports are provided to promote access to campus programs and activities.

ASMPC (Student Government)

The Associated Students of Monterey Peninsula College (ASMPC) are responsible for the coordination and support of student activities and organizations, while increasing the cooperation between students, faculty, and the community. ASMPC also provides a forum for the expression of student opinion and develops student initiative and responsibility while ensuring equal rights for all students of MPC.

Athletics

MPC offers intercollegiate athletic teams for men and women in 14 sports.  MPC is a member of the California Community College Athletic Association and competes in the Coast Conference and the Northern California Football Conference. Each year approximately 225 student athletes participate in the athletic program.

EOPS / CARE

Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) is a state funded program designed to assist low-income and educationally disadvantaged students gain access to and successfully complete a program of higher education. Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is a program designed to help single parents succeed in college.

LGBTQIA+ Support

MPC has a commitment to equity and inclusion for students, faculty and staff members who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, and asexual, plus any number of other gender identities (including non-binary gender identities, omnigender identities, and non-gender identities), alternative sexes and/or alternative sexual identities that are not included in these few letters (LGBTQIA+).

Lobo Market

The Lobo Market provides a food pantry services to MPC students on site at both the Monterey and MPC campuses. Currently registered students can select from snack, meal kit, fresh and dry pantry items, and/or toiletries.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services fosters health and well-being delivered in a culturally competent and compassionate manner. MPC works in collaboration with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula which provides an on-site Registered Nurse. In addition our staff includes a Health Specialist, Licensed Therapists, Psych Associates, Social Work students from Cal State Monterey Bay and a Medical Director - all providing a safe and confidential environment for our students.

The TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from limited income and first-generation college backgrounds.

Umoja

Umoja is a community of success dedicated to the academic success, personal growth, and self-actualization of MPC students. MPC's Umoja Learning Community is a program designed to assist African American and other historically underrepresented students.  Umoja is specifically designed to increase the retention, success, graduation, and transfer rates of African ancestry students.
