Safety Related Incident January 28, 2026

This morning, January 28, 2026, MPC Security was informed that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Via Lavandera as they were heading up the hill to campus from Fremont Street. 911 received a call for response at 9:40 am by an eye witness. Emergency response teams were dispatched immediately to the area. The individual that was struck has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. Monterey Police are investigating the accident. MPC Security is supporting Monterey Police as they complete their work on the scene.
