We offer over 100 programs (Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts for Transfer, Associate of Science for Transfer) to prepare you to transfer to universities such as California State University, University of California, private universities in California or to universities out of California. We offer degrees and certificates in more than 37 major areas that prepare you for a career in the shortest time possible either directly after graduating from MPC or after completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. We also support your academic preparation with certificate programs in English as a Second Language, as well as in basic math and basic English to prepare you for more advanced college-level math and English. No matter where your academic journey begins, MPC will help you reach your destination through well designed curriculum, outstanding teaching, excellent support services, and high-tech labs at a beautiful campus.
In addition to the Monterey campus located on 90 acres, the college has two excellent facilities in Fort Ord to serve the northern cities of Monterey County. The Education Center in Marina offers a variety of courses in General Education and in Business. The Public Safety Training Center in Seaside offers courses in Fire Technology, Police and Emergency Management Services. Since our students have busy lives and careers, we offer a large selection of courses in fully online as well as in hybrid formats.
MPC is well known for programs in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Our outstanding Nursing program has been established in close collaboration with the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). Our Business, Hospitality and Nursing programs have developed close partnerships with CSU Monterey Bay enabling students to transfer seamlessly. Our Early Childhood Education program has a model lab school on campus to put your learning into practice. We offer high tech along with “high touch” in programs such as Automotive Technology, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting to name just a few.
