  • 5 hours of CPR training
  • Externship opportunity

Upon successful completion of the classroom training, students will take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam and be required to pass a drug and background screen prior to being placed in the externship portion of the program.Externship information:

  • Students must complete a 40 hour externship.
  • Externships are scheduled for one week, Monday-Friday (no nights or weekends).
  • Students will need to be available from 5 a.m. - 6 p.m. for that week only (specific schedule timeframe is determined by each externship site).

Once a student has successfully completed all program requirements, they are eligible to apply for the State of California CPT-1 License.

Why Choose Our Program?

  • Our program offers high-quality training within a flexible time frame that caters to students’ needs. It is designed to prepare students for the CPT-1 license, a requirement in California, with all participants completing the certification process within one year.
  • Unlike other phlebotomy programs, we provide students with a valuable externship at a local lab facility. This hands-on experience sets our program apart, giving students the opportunity to work directly with patients in real-life scenarios. As a result, our graduates are highly sought after in the workforce due to their practical experience.
  • Our program boasts an impressive 90% pass rate.

A Program That Delivers

Reflecting on my recent journey through the phlebotomy technician training program, I can honestly say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The instruction team set the tone early, letting us know that the beginning would be tough—but also promising that once we found our rhythm, we’d have fun with the process. They were absolutely right. Our instructors were nothing short of amazing—knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate about teaching. They made learning engaging and meaningful. Their support and encouragement played a huge role in building both our technical skills and our confidence. Yes, there was a lot of work, but they kept us focused, disciplined, and motivated every step of the way. Thanks to their guidance, I feel truly prepared and excited for the next steps in my healthcare journey.
