ACEs Awareness: Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
Whether you're a parent, caregiver, teacher, or school administrator, this engaging three-part workshop series is designed to deepen your understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on brain development, learning, and behavior.
Through interactive sessions, you'll explore how early adversity can shape a child's ability to focus, self-regulate, and engage in the classroom. You'll also discover how to apply brain-based, trauma-informed strategies to create safe, supportive, and trust-filled environments where all children can thrive.
Participants will:
- Learn the science behind ACEs and their effects on learning and behavior
- Gain practical tools to support self-regulation and emotional safety
- Experience hands-on techniques to reduce toxic stress and build resilience
- Leave with actionable strategies to apply immediately in classrooms and learning spaces
