Adult Dual Enrollment

Earn college credit while you work toward your GED or high school diploma through your adult education program. With dual enrollment, you can take college classes now and start building credits toward your future degree.

What is Adult Dual Enrollment?

Great question!  In a few words, Adult Education Dual Enrollment is when an adult student who is working on their GED or HSD (high school diploma) enrolls as an individual to take college courses (tuition free) with MPC.  The process is relatively simple, and sometimes, these classes may also count towards your GED/HSD!

Why Should I Take College Courses now?

Taking college courses while at the Adult School allows students to get a step ahead toward their career goals. Plus, classes are free so students save money.

Where Can I Take Adult Dual Enollment Courses from MPC?

Courses available include those at Monterey Peninsula College, as well as, on-site at the Adult Schools. Courses can be in-person or online.


Earn College Credits Now!

Take advanced coursework and earn credit for both high school and college. Here’s how. 

Create an account or sign in to Open CCCApply. Within 1-2 hours, you should receive a student ID number by email. You will need to re-apply each term/session for which you plan to attend.

Important: Save your confirmation number in case your application needs to be reset.

Download MPC's Dual Enrollment Form. This form must be signed by your adult school principal or authorized designee.

Submit your completed Dual Enrollment Form to the MPC Admissions & Records Office for Authorization. Forms can take 2 - 10 business days for processing. Students can check the form status under their MyMPC account > Registration Self Serviec > Prepare for Registration > Select a Term.

Find the courses you are interested in taking on the MyMPC Portal and add your course(s) to your cart. Obtain an add code from the instructor if necessary.

No, if you are 18 years or older you do not need a parent signature. You will sign in the “parent field” as yourself and include a note “over 18”.
